Terms of Service

Using strangerline.chat means agreeing to what follows. Starting a chat counts as accepting it. We kept the language plain on purpose; a few minutes is all it takes.

Who can use StrangerLine

StrangerLine is for people aged 18 and over, or older where local law sets adulthood higher. Accounts we believe belong to minors are removed.

What the service is

StrangerLine pairs you with one other user at a time for text, voice or video chat. Matches are random. We do not promise any particular person, conversation or outcome, and we may change, pause or stop features at any time.

What you agree not to do

  • Follow the community guidelines in every chat.
  • Do not record, screenshot or share other users without their consent.
  • Do not use StrangerLine to advertise, sell, scam, spam or ask anyone for money.
  • No hacking, flooding, scraping, or poking at how the service is built to harvest information about people.
  • No impersonation meant to trick or hurt anyone.

Free matches, Reward Center top-ups and coins

Fresh accounts include free matches, and staying online unlocks Reward Center top-ups. How many, and how often, can change without notice.

Coins exist only inside StrangerLine. They cannot be cashed out or passed to another user, and refunds are generally not given unless the law requires one. A notice appears before a session starts using coins. Payment problems can be raised with support.

Enforcement

Breaking these terms or the guidelines can lead to a warning, reduced features, a ban, or the loss of coins paid for fraudulently. The worst cases go to the police.

Your content

What you say and show in a chat is on you. It stays yours; we simply need to handle it to carry the chat and to check reports.

Disclaimers and liability

Users are strangers to us as well as to you. Reports get reviewed, but nobody is screened before a chat, so other users' words and actions are their own responsibility. The service comes as is; where the law permits, what we owe you in any claim is capped at what you spent with us over the past year.

Changes and contact

When these terms change, the "Last updated" line moves too. Keep using StrangerLine and the new version applies. Questions: [email protected].
